语篇意识对一个译者的重要性

　　总而言之，一个翻译公司的译者在翻译时一定要有语篇意识，从语篇而不是局部的角度来看问 题。语篇意识能够帮助我们摆脱在词句层面上过于纠缠的心理，一旦站到了语篇的高 度，我们会更清楚地意识到翻译不是字词的对译，甚至也不是句子的对译。实际上，为 了保证整个语篇层面的意义传递，我们在许多局部的细节上都可能需要做一些调整。

　　例1当都市里的男女在决定感情归属时，还要让爱情这只空灵的鸟儿驮上诸如地 位、财富等沉重的包袱时，西北漠野里则有这么一群人，用歌声搭起了通往洞房的桥 梁。（《永远的花儿》）分析为了从意义上更为连贯地表达原文的思想，我们决定在译文中两次使用“ 爱情这只鸟儿”的形象。
　　译文 K love is supposed to be a free bird, when urban people decide upon their emo?tional destiny, they tend to burden this bird with such things as social status and wealth. But in the vast fields of the Northwest, a love song would be enough to guide the bird into the brid?al chamber.
　　例2红霞拿着个电喇叭调动群众演员，喊破了嗓子，头发立起来不说，还得站在 人群里跟着哭，跟着笑，跟着频频点头激动不已，后来听说这些镜头又被无情地剪掉了。（《流年》）
　　译文 Holding a loudspeaker in her hand, Hongxia maneuvered the participants until her voice became hoarse and her hair stood on end. But that was not all that she was supposed to do. She still had to join the other participants in all the activities ： crying, laughing, nod?ding and getting excited. Later on it was said that these scenes were ruthlessly cut out.

Nobody would tell you things such as you must. .. so that you can. . . other?wise you will. . . etc.
