公司官网翻译存在的问题及解决方案（一）

　　一、拼写错误
　　例文：本公司近年致力弘扬、推广中华优秀传统文化和与之相结合的高新科 技。2002年起被中央有关部门指定为外交部国礼系列金书国内外主要发行单位 之一。This company recent years devoted to bring honor to, to promote the China outstanding traditional culture and high-speed science which unified with it. In 2002 is assigned by the central department concerned one of for country cash as a present book domestic and foreign main release units.

       首先应该补充说明，这家公司属于文化礼品公司；原译recent years前面缺 少介词；devoted to后面的动词应该为-ing形式；“中华”竟然误译成the China “此中国”，难道还有其他的“彼中国”？要么使用全称The people’s Republic of China也好；“高新科技”被译成high-speed science “高速度的科学”；one of for country cash不知所云；“发行单位”译成release units，不仅词形有误，而且release 尽管也可以表示中文的“发行”，但其基本意思是“释放”犯人或气体，书籍的 “发行”最好使用issue或publish的相应形式如加-ing，而不是动词直接加名词。 总之，单词的误用十分严重。从句法上看，整个句子结构极度混乱，也从另一 个侧面说明，应用翻译总会碰到不少令人棘手的问题。翻译公司译员建议改译：

　　二、用词不当
　　例文：原文：公司以木制品为主导产品，主要产品为木制国际象棋系列、迷 你家具系列、木制礼品系列、日用品系列、儿童玩具系列、儿童中型家具系 列等。
　　原译：Our company main product wooden gifts items which treated with commodity items > Chess items. youngster toyes items > youngster middle furniture iterns.具有平行关系的产品系列之间竟然使用中式标点符号，错误十分显眼；其 他并发症是，若将原译中Our company视为主语，则句子还是因为没有谓语而 显得成分残缺，可以考虑改为Our company mainly produces…或者The main products of our company are.严格地说，which treated with 既不是限制性定语从句，也不是过去分词作后置定语，属于非常典型的误用；treated with在原文中也没有任何对应之处；用词方面，main product该用复数形式而没有用，toy 的复数形式却错误地写成toyes; youngster的意思是“年轻人，少年”，在此不 合要求；产品名称翻译不规范，“系列产品”后面一连串的“系列”产品，在翻 译时应该遵循简略的原则，不必一一重复译出。建议改译：

　　The main products of our company are series of wooden articles, including chess series, mini-ftimiture, wooden gifts, daily necessities, children's toys and - mid-sized furniture for children as well.
