一、地点状语从句的翻译
1.译成地点状语
例 1: Make a mark where you have any doubts or questions.
译文:在有疑问的地方做个记号。
例 2： Nobody knows where they can find the right answers.
译文：没人知道在哪里可以找到正确答案。
2.译成条件状语从句
例 1 ： Where there is nothing in the path of the beam of light, nothing is seen.
译文:如果光束通道上没有任何东西，就什么也看不见。
例 2： The house is excellent for living where the rent is not high.
译文:如果租金不贵，这个房子是再好不过了。
二、原因状语从句的翻译
1.译成表示原因的分句，翻译公司的译者可以按照下面的例句方式翻译。
例 1 ： Probably he had stood there for some time because the ash of his cigar was discovered on the ground near the school gate.
译文:他可能在那站了 一会儿，因为校门口地上发现了他的雪茄烟灰。
例 2： Tragedies can be written in literature since there is tragedy in life.
译文：既然生活中有悲剧，文学作品就可以写悲剧。
2.译成因果偏正复句中的主句英汉翻译过程中，为了突出原文对原 因的强调，专业翻译公司的译者可将原文中处于从属地位的原因状语从句译成主句，而将原来 的主句译作从句
例 1 :Pure iron is not used in industry because it is too soft.
译文：纯铁太软，所以不用在工业上。
例 2. Since they live near the sea,they can often go swimming.
译文:他们住在靠海的地方，所以可以常去游泳。
3.译成不用关联词而因果关系内含的并列分句
汉语重意合，连接词的使用不如英语中普遍。英语中的原因状语从句，北京翻译公司的译者在翻译成汉语时，如果内在的因果关系很清楚，多数情况下连接词可以省略或部分 省略。
例 1 ：The chairman must be ill,for he is absent.
译文:主席没有来，肯定是病了。
例 2： We had to put the meeting off since so many people were absent.
